The main selling point is its comfort, since you won't be able to feel the wires inside the heated mattress. The pad is made in such a way that you would feel it is a regular one, not electric pad. This is why you can sleep and forget about it all. You won't feel discomfort or have to toss around because there are some wires pressing against your body. Sunbeam made a great design and it is what sells these products. They are not cheap, though, but are still a good value.
Now that I have finished with praising this electric mattress, let me say few bad words. There have been complaints about the longevity of this product.
